We need to incorporate Christ and the Christian life-style into our actions and conversations; but we must do so in a down-to-earth and real way.  Cut the Christianese and religious talk, and just speak plain [insert your own language] with the folks we talk to and interact with.

1) By being real with people, they can see that we are vulnerable.

There is a lot of pain in the world, and to see that the Christian community is not immune to it but reacts in a different way helps people realize that they are not alone. And quite frankly so many of us Christian brothers and sisters need to hear this too. We also need to see that we are not alone!  That there are other brothers and sisters who are also going through the same exact kind of strife that we are.

“Resist him [the enemy], steadfast in your faith, for you know that your brothers and sisters in all the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering.  And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, support, strengthen, and establish you.”
